I am a Dairy farmer at Farleton, My family have farmed in and around the village for many generations,

April my Wife and I have 4 adult children who all still live in the locality.

My Father Richard and Grandfather Shepherd were both parish councilors in the past,

and I would like to continue to work for the community as they did.

I am very proud of our Valley and how it works and how it looks.

I would like to see better footpath links between Farleton and Hornby.

I have been a Parish Councillor for over 10 years.

I was born and bred in Hornby and have lived in the village for most of my life

I am married, have two  grown up children and two grandchildren

I have mainly an admin and financial background and my husband and I have run our own business for over 30 years

When my children were school age I set up and ran a Youth Club for a number of years.

I have served on Lune Valley Housing Association Board for 7 years up until 2015

The village has a great community spirit and I want to see this thrive and retain the facilities we still have and add to these facilities in the future.

I have lived in the parish, in Farleton, since 2014. my wife and I have two children who have attended Hornby primary school, and we have a dog who likes all the footpaths in the area! We value living in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and supporting the local community wherever feasible.

I’ve lived in Hornby for nearly 50 years. My two grown up children went to school here. I have also been a member of HVT for over 40 years. I’m keen to  see the village develop in a way that lets our young folk find accommodation and be able to remain part of our society.
