Welcome to Hornby with Farleton Parish Council Website

The Hornby with Farleton Parish Council is the closest tier of local government to you and the voice of local people. The Parish Council is run by councillors who volunteer their time to make your community a better place. The councillors meet regularly at the Hornby Village Institute and are responsible for making decisions on behalf of their parishioners.

Funding for the parish is sourced via the annual precept which is an amount of money calculated as an estimate for the coming financial year and is collected as part of your Council Tax. This money is used to improve facilities and services for local people. Where possible the Parish Council will also apply for grants and other funding to supplement the precept and to benefit the parish.

The Parish Council welcome the public to attend parish meetings if they wish. The agenda for each meeting will be published on the ‘Agendas and Minutes’ page of this website and on notice boards within the parish 3 days prior to the meeting. The minutes of the meeting will then be displayed on the same page once approved at the following meeting.

The Parish Council also has a Parish Clerk who carries out the administration on behalf of the council and is the best person to contact in relation to Parish Council matters. If there is anything that you feel the Council should be aware of or where it can help or support you, then please contact the Parish Clerk.
